Doing service projects together is one way that Cub Scouts keep their promise "to help other people." While a Scout should do his best to help other people every day, a group service project is a bigger way to help people. While you're giving service, you're learning to work together with others to do something that's good for your community. In August, the scouts helped St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and Concordia Academy spread mulch in their playground areas and around the church. Just one example of Pack 412 serving our community.

Little Sioux Scout Ranch is located approximately one hour north of Omaha, Nebraska in Iowa's Loess Hills. The 1,800 acre ranch was enjoyed by Pack 412 during camp this summer. The scouts enjoyed 3 days filled with BB guns, archery, rappelling, boats, a giant water slide, and much, much more!

In honor of the Take Flight summer theme, the Omahawks Radio Controlled Airplane Club invited Pack 412 out to the flying field located near Standing Bear Lake for a fun evening filled with a cook-out and a chance for the boys and parents to fly radio controlled airplanes. Using a buddy cord, each boy had the opportunity to fly an airplane through the sky. How will you let your imagination take flight?

A fun day for roller skating, skee-ball, and bumper cars was found at Skate Daze for the boys of Pack 412. The boys earned their roller skating belt loop as well as celebrating a Court of Honors where the boys advanced to their next Cub Scout rank.

Along with Boy Scout Troop 412, members from Cub Scout Pack 412 gathered food items for local food pantries on April 11th and 18th. Scouting for Food is a Mid-America Council event that happens every April and is sponsored by ConAgra Foods Foundation and benefits the Food Bank for the Heartland and other local agencies. We gathered 696 nonperishable items from neighborhoods around Zion Lutheran Church near 144th and Ida. Thanks to all our friends and neighbors that participated and donated to this event.

It's that time again! Yes, Pack 412 held it's annual Raingutter Regatta Race this November 2014. We saw boats of all different colors and flag designs this year. The Raingutter Regatta is a model boat race against other Cub Scouts. The boats are assembled by the Cub Scouts from a standard balsa wood kit. The boats are placed in two side-by-side rain gutters and the "sailors" propel their boats by blowing on the sails. The first one to reach the end of the gutter wins the race.
Jubilee is largest Scouting event in the Midwest! The fun began on Friday night, October 10, with activities and a Hairball concert hosted by the Order of the Arrow Lodge. Saturday kicked off with a patriotic opening ceremony and then the activities fired up! Saturday wrapped up with a concert by Smash Mouth and one of the best fireworks shows in the area. Sunday concluded with a religious observance and then joining in the Scout park clean up. It was a weekend filled with concerts, activities for all ages, fireworks, and more!
